West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Newland Grove in Dudley at 2.00pm to reports of a cyclist who had reportedly fallen off her bicycle. An ambulance, a paramedic officer, a critical care car and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford with a MERIT trauma doctor on board attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find a cyclist, a woman, being cared for by an off-duty nurse and family members.
