Following the huge success of series one, 999 On the Frontline returned to TV screens for a second series recently.
Filmed simultaneously with several ambulance crews on the same shift, the 10-part documentary shows in real time the range of cases our crews from Erdington, Coventry and Warwick hubs attend. Viewers will see some familiar faces who featured in series one as well as some new stars!
The second series aired on More4 from Sunday 23rd September for 10 weeks.
In episode one, ambulance crews and the air ambulance rush to save an elderly man with life changing injuries following a fall from a ladder, while clearing the gutter. At the same time in Birmingham, newly qualified paramedic Heather Cassidy struggles to treat a man who has suffered three major epileptic fits and is in a delirious and combative state. Meanwhile in Coventry, paramedics Neil Vann and Laura Perkins help a 4 year old girl who has passed out and needs urgent medical attention.
