We’ve been providing patient transport services (PTS) covering Wolverhampton and Dudley since October 2016. This includes patients registered with GPs who are eligible for transport through the region and the rest of the UK. The service also covers patients in most other parts of the West Midlands travelling into the area for treatment, in particular to New Cross and Russells Hall hospitals and local dialysis units.
We’ve also provided the PTS service at City Hospital, Sandwell General, Midlands Eye Hospital and Birmingham Treatment Centre since April 2020. If you are travelling into any of the hospitals listed below from outside the West Midlands, you will need to call your home provider.
In addition, we’ve been providing PTS services for eligible patients to and from Walsall Manor Hospital and Black Country Partnership sites since 2012.

Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership is not covered by West Midlands Ambulance Service. Nor are the main hospitals in Staffordshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
We do not take patients to private appointments, nor to routine GP appointments.

For patients wishing to book a journey for appointments at Walsall Manor, please call 0121 307 9112. This office is open from 08.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
When you call and speak to our PTS control room staff, you will be asked a number of questions to determine your eligibility and to ensure we send the appropriate staff and vehicle for your journey. Please ensure you have your appointment details to hand, as well as your GP practice and NHS number ready. All calls are recorded.

We provide PTS journeys to Walsall Healthcare, Black Country Partnership, Black Country ICS.
We do not take patients to private appointments, nor routine GP appointments. Patients who are not registered with a GP in the local area covered by the areas mentioned are not included in this contract.
