Help us help you

Our teams are working really hard to ensure we can provide the best care and treatment to people in the West Midlands.

Thank you to all of our staff and volunteers for their continued efforts. In times of increased pressure on the ambulance service, please help us to help you:

  • During times of high demand it may take longer than we would hope to answer some calls. Please stay on the line so that we can arrange the right help for you.
  • Please only call us back on 999 if the patient’s condition worsens or you no longer require an ambulance. We aren’t able to provide an estimated arrival time so please keep the lines clear for the next caller.
  • If you need urgent, non-emergency medical help, go to NHS 111 online where you’ll be asked some questions about your health concern, and then be advised on what to do and where to get the help you need. If you’re unsure what to do, go online to NHS 111.
  • For less urgent health problems, don’t forget you can contact your GP or local pharmacy.
