A man has sadly died after a collision involving two cars in Drayton Bassett, near Tamworth, this morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 6.48am to the junction of Sutton Road and Drayton Lane and sent three ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman says: “On arrival, crews found a man in a critical condition receiving CPR.
“Ambulance staff immediately took over to administer advanced life support but sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts, he could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene.”
