A man has died following a collision on Stafford Road in Lichfield this afternoon.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called shortly before 1pm to a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a lamppost on Stafford Road in Lichfield. Two ambulances, two paramedic officers and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival we found a man who was the motorcyclist in a critical condition with life threatening injuries.
“Ambulance staff quickly began administering advanced life support to him. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts it became clear that nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.
“No further patients required treatment.”
