Nobody mess with Dudley-based Paramedic Sammie! Not only has she recently qualified as a Paramedic from a Technician, but she’s also gained her powerlifting registration too! Superwoman right there 🏋️‍♀️
#DidYouKnow we have enhanced care doctors and critical care paramedics available 24/7 across the #WestMidlands?
It’s #Pride month and tonight our #LGBT+ group will hosting a celebration for their members and supporters. They’ll be hearing about all the developments happening within WMAS over the coming months and the work we are doing to make us even more inclusive. The meeting is open to all staff, students and volunteers and is a chance to share stories and make or renew friendships 🌈🚑🏳️‍🌈
Nobody should go to work with the fear of suffering verbal or physical abuse. Ambulance crews are there to help you. They only attend locations when they are asked to.
Next month, our #NHS111 service will be inspected by the @carequalitycommission
#WorldWellbeingWeek
"Ambulance service is the patient breathing?"
Another location in our ‘you just never know where you’ll end up in the #WestMidlands’ category 😉
We don’t think the crew of Helimed54 from The Air Ambulance Service we’re out searching for the pots of gold at the end of those rainbows, but you never know 🤔 🌈 😉
Interested in becoming a #studentparamedic then you still have time to head down to Himley Hall to the Armed Forces Day where we have a team on hand to answer your questions. They’re there till 5.30pm.
Defibrillators are in all sorts of places. From workplaces, school, cafes and even phone boxes!
#DoYouKnow what to do when you're driving and an ambulance is behind you on blue lights & sirens?
We're currently recruiting to such a wide variety of roles. Including:
DID YOU KNOW: Almost 51k ambulance crews and control room staff have reported verbal abuse, physical assault or threatening behaviour in the last 5 years.
You can find out everything you need to know about our Student Paramedic Programme on our microsite – wmascareers.uk.
Have you...
Today is #ArmedForcesDay
Yesterday we celebrated those members of staff who have completed 10 & 15 years of service with afternoon tea & certificate presentations. Well done to the organising team, especially Lauren (pic), Jenny & Barbara, together with everyone else who helped make it a great afternoon.
