Testimonials from our CFRs

Community first responders (CFRs) are members of the public who respond to emergency 999 calls within their local community to support West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Our CFRs give up their spare time, voluntarily and without pay, to help others in their time of need. We have CFRs from a broad range of backgrounds, ages and careers; from nurses, mechanics, plumbers and police officers to those who are retired.

Read testimonials from three of our CFRs, Ash O’MalleyMartin Bennett and Terry Flower to find out about why they decided to volunteer and how they feel about supporting West Midlands Ambulance Service.
