Three to Hospital Following a Collision in Malvern

Three people have been taken to hospital, one with life threatening injuries following a collision in Malvern today.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 12.02pm to a collision involving a car and three pedestrians on Church Street in Malvern and sent three ambulances, two paramedic officers, the Midland Air Ambulance from Strensham and a Mercia Accident Rescue Service doctor (MARS) to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival we found three women who had been involved in a collision with a car.

“The first, an elderly woman, was assessed and had sustained life-threatening injuries.

“She received advanced trauma care at the scene which continued en route to Queen Elizabeth Hospital via land ambulance.

“The second and third women had sustained injuries that were not life threatening. They both received treatment from ambulance staff at the scene.

“The second woman was conveyed to Hereford Hospital by land ambulance for further treatment.

“The third woman was conveyed to Worcester Royal Hospital by land ambulance for further treatment.”

“Two further patients self-presented to ambulance staff who were assessed and discharged at the scene.

“No further patients required treatment.”
